Devɑstated dad loses both twin daughters and wife in head-on collision – rest in peace

There is nothing more important than family, especially if you are a parent. The worst thing that can happen to you as a parent is any harm coming to your child. This father is living through his worst nightmare, he lost both his children and his wife in the most sad way…

David Dorsey’s entire world was turned upside down when he received the news of an accident that took away everything that was important to him. “I don’t know what I’m going to do,” David Dorsey said. “They were my best friends.” They were my motivation and purpose, and I’m going to have to find a way.”

David’s 41-year-old wife, Renee Dorsey, took their 14-year-old twin daughters on a trip to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware on Wednesday. The trip was traditional for all three; something they would do to mark the anniversary of Renee’s mother’s death.

“Normally they would spend the night in a hotel,” David explained, but this time it was different. He said: “But Parker and June didn’t want to miss school on Thursday so they decided to go home. And then the accident happened.”

On the evening of Thursday, November 30, around 11:30 p.m., Renee was driving her 2020 Toyota Tacoma in the northbound lanes of I-495 from Delaware. Also in the car were her twin daughters, Parker and June.

At the same time, a 48-year-old Maryland man was driving south in the left lane of northbound I-495 in the area of Route 13, police said.
He continued to drive the wrong way resulting in a head-on collision with Renee’s vehicle. All three people in Renee’s car and the 48-year-old wrong-way driver were kiIIed instantly in the crɑsh.

David Dorsey was shocked by the news. “I don’t know what life looks like in the future.” “All his life he has been a father and a husband”, said the broken man.

David and Renee have been together since they were little, having met at Drekel University. David described his late wife as a “super mum” and a “social butterfly”.

“Everyone she met loved her immediately and she became friends with everyone very quickly,” he said.

While his daughters said that when they were twins they had very different interests and personalities. He discovered that Parker was artistic and musical, while June was athletic and loved ice hockey.

“Their relationship was one that even I didn’t understand,” David said of his girlfriends. “They had their own language.”

Both girls went to different high schools, June attended Central High School while Parker attended Palumbo Academy. Both wanted to become engineers one day, just like their parents.
As David mourns this tremendous loss, he seeks the comfort that people are sharing with his bereaved family.
“It makes me happy to know that my daughters have touched so many lives and I know Renee has touched so many people,” he said.

On Monday night, the Philadelphia Flyers paid a sweet tribute to his late wife and daughters before their game against the Colorado Avalanche.
This is truly such a heartbreaking story.

Our condolences to David Dorsey as he navigates his life through this incredibly difficult loss!
